Hello everyone,
I finally finished a new portrait and I had A LOT of trouble bringing it into a reasonably decent digital version. Otherwise I would have submitted it earlier. Getting a traditional drawing or painting in a comparatively good quality to submit it online is always rather troublesome for me, but it is especially tricky with coloured pencil drawings. Big big advantage for drawing digitally...
Anyway, this is Lara Pulver as the famous Irene Adler in BBC's Sherlock, also known as The Woman. Her role/character in the show is kind of controversial. Nevertheless I think she played her part nicely and looked very nicely, too
That is why I started this drawing one lonely night in October of last year, when I browsed dA and saw some amazing coloured pencil art. I had the urge to do a full portrait with coloured pencils, too, cuz I realised that I never really tried that even though coloured pencils were some of my main media some years ago.This scan is still far behind from the real drawing, but I sincerely hope that my effort (drawing this portrait and the fuss about getting a good photo / scan) still payed off
